Diwali 2026 Lakshmi Puja Muhurat in Bhopal

Step-by-Step Diwali Lakshmi Puja Vidhi for Bhopal Households

To invoke the divine presence of Goddess Mahalakshmi, Lord Ganesha, and Lord Kuber in Bhopal, follow these authentic Vedic rituals during the auspicious muhurat between 05:58 PM and 07:56 PM:

1. Sanctification & Altar Setup (Shuddhikaran): Cleanse the worship area with holy water (Gangajal). Place a wooden chowki covered with clean red or yellow silk cloth. Make a nine-gem lotus (Navagraha) with unbroken rice grains (Akshat).
2. Kalash Sthapana: Fill a copper or brass Kalash with water, add a betel nut (Supari), flower, coin, and sacred mango leaves. Top it with a coconut wrapped in red cloth (Moli).
3. Invocation of Lord Ganesha: Always begin by worshiping Lord Ganesha (Vighnaharta) with vermilion (Sindoor), Modak/Laddoo, and Durva grass to remove all obstacles from your journey.
4. Mahalakshmi Avahan & Dhyan: Welcome Goddess Lakshmi with lotus flowers and offer Panchamrit (milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar). Chant the sacred mantra: "Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Maha Lakshmaye Namaha" 108 times.
5. Kuber & Bahi-Khata Pujan: Worship the treasury safe and account books (Chopda) to attract lawful wealth and ethical abundance in the coming year.
6. Lighting of 21/51 Clay Diyas: Light mustard oil and cow ghee lamps and place them on windows, entrances, and terraces to guide positive energy into your home.
